Update: Chinese Wines in New York

Wines from six niche Chinese producers popped up in New York in April and have been spreading in the city ever since.

The importer, China Wine Club, already lists a dozen New York venues stocking its wine, including Birds of a Feather, Cafe China, Cellar 36, Dirty Bacchus, Duke’s Liquor Box, Grapefruit Wines (Hudson), Honey’s, La Compagnie (Flatiron), Lai Rai, Lei, Pinch Chinese and Stella’s Juice Box.

There is also an upcoming event, on June 24, pairing some of the wines with dumplings at Pinch Chinese. (See poster for details / use resy to book a spot.)

Shanghai restaurateur Camden Hauge is spearheading this project and the first shipment included wines from Xiao Pu, The Cellar Project, FARMentation, Silver Heights, Shofang and Xianghai.
