China wine deal: Jebsen teams with Lion’s Fine Wine Partners

Jebsen has signed a deal with massive drinks company Fine Wine Partners, owned by Lion, to handle China distribution of wine brands from Australia and the United States. From a joint press release (my highlights):

Under the agreement, Jebsen will distribute a number of premium wines owned by Lion BSW Australia’s wine business, Fine Wine Partners, across its many provinces. The Australian and American wine brands soon to reach Chinese adult consumers include St. Hallett (Barossa, South Australia); Petaluma (Adelaide Hills, South Australia); Stonier (Mornington Peninsula, Victoria), Knappstein (Clare Valley, South Australia) and Argyle (Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA).

Jebsen established its wine business in Hong Kong over two decades ago and now lists six offices in China. Its portfolio covers a dozen countries, from Spain to South Africa to Australia to Argentina, and brands such as Chanson, Bollingers, Neil Ellis, Clos de los Siete and Ayala.
