Beijing wine jobs | Sales managers at Jebsen, CHEERS

By Jim Boyce | No money, no funny, they say, so it’s not surprising to see wine job listings in China are often about sales, sales, sales. Here are a couple of positions up for grabs in Beijing.

Beijing: Sales Manager, Jebson

The job duties includes customer care, meeting sales targets, expanding the client base, handling promotional activities, leading junior sales team members and more. A university degree, wine knowledge and a minimum of three to five years of sales experience in wine and spirits required. The candidate should have a network of trade contacts, solid communications skills and fluency in English. For more details and to apply, click here.

Beijing: Regional Sales Manager, CHEERS

The manager will handle all regional stores, execute sales plans, do in-store training and be a brand ambassador. The manager will be weekly contact with store managers and make monthly visits, accumulate forecasts and analyze trends, and be closely involved in events like marketing campaigns, tastings and new store openings. This position reports to head office, with the possibility of promotion to area manager. The candidate should have two to three years experience in retail at a regional manager level, good analytical skills, an eye for trends and good English skills. China wine jobs | Regional sales manager at Roque in Beijing

By Jim Boyce | Roque Fine Wines is seeking a regional sales manager for its Beijing office. Established in 2014 and self-described as having a “startup mentality”, Roque represents about forty family owned labels, including New Zealand’s The Crater Rim, Spain’s Parés Baltà and Argentina’s Manos Negra.

The company seeks a sales-oriented person with four or more years experience, preferably in sales or management, and strong Chinese- and English-language skills. The sales manager is expected to meet monthly targets for on-trade and private clients as well as the objectives of each partner winery. The successful candidate will need both to maintain current relationships with restaurants, hotels and private clients and to develop new business opportunities.
